Barbara Levin, MSW is on the staff of the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University as the Coordinator for the Alliance for Building Capacity. This program offers St. Louis nonprofits services and support to increase capacity to serve community citizens more effectively. Levin is responsible for planning and implementing this program through consultation, workshops, skill development and other technical assistance offerings. She also coordinates the GWB Lecture Series and the Professional Education program.
Previously, Levin was the Director of Leadership Programs for FOCUS St. Louis where she was directly responsible for Youth Leadership St. Louis, Impact St. Louis and customized leadership programs and trainings designed to meet the needs of corporate, non profit and government entities and individual citizens. In addition, she directed Bridges Across Racial Polarization, an interracial dialogue program. She is also a qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator administrator. Active in the community, Levin serves on the board of St. Louis ArtWorks, a summer youth employment program in the arts.
Levin received her MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Bachelors of Arts in History and Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
